Peavey introduced the new high-end pro Q-Wave loudspeaker line, featuring two array system models: Q-Wave 1 and Q-Wave 215. Both loudspeakers are designed for customers upgrading to larger production venues.
The Q-Wave 1 high-mid cabinet features two 10" Black Widow speakers with field replacable baskets and a 44XT compression driver on a 60? x 40? directivity horn. The Q-Wave's trapezoidal design and drop-forged shoulder bolt flying hardware make it versatile enough for any array or free-standing sound system.
The 44XT 4" compression driver utilizes ferro fluid cooling and is coupled to a CH-642qt constant directivity horn, which employs Quadratic Throat Waveguide technology. Due to the horn's unique patented geometry, it has much lower distortion than other constant directivity horns on the market and produces a significantly clearer sound. The 44XT driver features Peavey's patented Radialinear Planar Phase Correction System, which provides smoother and extended high frequency response.
Peavey has armed the trapezoidal Q-Wave 215 low-mid system with two 15" Low Rider speakers and drop-forged shoulder bolt flying hardware for maximum flying options. This model also provides excellent coverage as a free-standing sub-woofer.
The U.S. MSRP for the Q-Wave 1 is $1499.99, and the U.S. MSRP for the Q-Wave 215 is $1099.99. Both will be available from Authorized Peavey Dealers in October 2002.
