PRESS RELEASE

Left-Handed Players Get Equal Treatment from RainSong

July 20, 2002

Left-handed guitar players have been faced with a choice: play a right-handed guitar upside down or pay extra for the privilege of owning a guitar that was actually built with a left-hander in mind. Not that Jimi Hendrix wasn't onto something great, but left-handed players should play left-handed guitars and owning one should not be a privilege to be paid extra for. Why should a left-handed model cost more than a right-handed model, given that the materials and attributes are the same? At least that's what RainSong Graphite Guitars thinks.

Because of the inquiries from left-handed players seeking left-handed guitars, the good people at RainSong are introducing a left-handed version of the DR1000 dreadnought at the Summer NAMM Show in Nashville. The lefty DR1000L will come with all the attributes, bells and whistles the right-handed version has. It will have the same great sound, balance, clarity and volume of RainSong's Projection Tuned Layering soundboards. It will have the same fast and comfortable neck, the same stability and durability of all-graphite construction. It will come with the same Fishman Stereo Blender. It will also come with the same price, identical to the standard DR1000. However, the DR1000L will be built for left-handed players, with a left-handed nut and a left-handed compensated B saddle.

With a new lefty RainSong on the way, offered at no extra cost, the choices facing left-handed players have gotten a little easier.

The left-handed RainSong DR1000L will make its debut at this summer's NAMM in Nashville. The suggested retail price is $2,245.
