RainSong Graphite Guitars Introduces WS9000 Nylon String

RainSong Graphite Guitars is introducing the WS9000, a nylon stringed acoustic guitar, designed specifically for steel string players who want to explore the emotional possibilities of the nylon sound.
For a steel string player, the WS9000 is a familiar companion. With a 20" radius and a 1 3/4" nut width, the 14-fret neck is comfortable. String spacing and setup are ideal for fingerpicking and flatpicking alike. The body is the same size and shape of RainSong steel strings: deep, resonant and responsive. It rests comfortably in the lap or held up with a strap. So, little has changed for the steel string player.
Except for the sound.
With the WS9000, RainSong has completely redesigned its patented Projection Tuned Layering soundboard to specifically address the needs and qualities of nylon strings. The large, deep body, combined with Projection Tuned Layering gives The WS9000 presence, punch and volume. However, the nylon strings and design changes produce a warm, earthy utterance.
The WS9000 is loud enough acoustically to woo the coffee house crowd, but comes with top grade electronics if the venue gets larger or louder. The Fishman On Board Blender works great, sounds great and, with both an under the saddle piezo pick up and an internal mike, allows for a range of on the spot adjustability and tweaking.
The WS 9000 is a guitar designed for playing jazz, latin, classical or world music. It is a good practical choice for the steel string player looking to branch out towards nylon strings.
