STK Ships VM8FX Powered Mixer

Redwood Music has begun shipping the first model of a completely new range of STK box style powered mixers. The new line of 9 different models was premiered in prototype form at the winter NAMM show. The VM8FX will be the first unit to hit the streets in the US market. This new product features 8 XLR/ 1/4" input channels. Each channel has a 10dB pad, a 2 band EQ and 2 aux sends. One aux send is for monitors and the other feeds the internal digital effects processor as well as an output. The straight-ahead master section has level controls for Main and Monitor signals, a 7-band graphic equalizer and controls for the digital effects processor. Global phantom power is switchable. Power output from the VM8FX is 300 Watts into 4 Ohms. The power section is fan cooled making the unit useable in all environments. The case is wood and is covered with a special seamless coating that is extremely durable. Lightweight and compact, the VM8FX weighs only 24 pounds and measures 16"W X 9"H X 10"D.
