Baldwin Debuts Eco-Friendly D.H. Baldwin Line at Summer NAMM July 23, 2003Baldwin introduced the American-made D.H. Baldwin line for this year's Summer NAMM. The series includes a 5-foot 2-inch grand and the 560 series vertical models, which available in traditional and distressed finishes as well as Lyptus veneer, a completely renewable wood.
The D.H. Baldwin grand comes in a satin ebony or satin cherry finish. The 560 vertical series is available in a 43-inch and 45-inch model and five different finishes. The 43-inch model comes in satin cherry and satin brown cherry finishes, distressed cherry and distressed brown cherry, and lyptus with a clear finish. The 45-inch model comes in mahogany and cherry-stained lyptus and lyptus with a clear finish.
Lyptus, obtained from hybrid noble eucalyptus trees, is a high quality hardwood grown on plantations in Brazil. It is a managed crop and is grown in an environmentally-responsible manner.
