July 23, 2003

Just one of 13 new products Behringer unveiled at NAMM, the Ultramizer Pro DSP1424P (USD 129.99 MSRP), is designated as the successor to the DSP1400P. This automatic 2-band digital loudness maximizer and sound program enhancer system enables separate, program-adaptive compression and limiting, ensuring punch and loudness. The new ULTRAMIZER now features dual-engine 24-bit processing with 48 kHz sampling rate. The unit is currently shipping worldwide.

The new ULTRAMIZER's 24-bit A/D and D/A converters with 64/128 times oversampling provide high headroom and resolution. It divides the spectrum into two bands prior to performing the dynamic functions, while variable band-split compression reduces any gain intermodulation effects. In addition, the DSP1424P features a DENOISER. Its 3D stereo surround processor provides spatial enhancement and improved stereo imaging. The implemented super bass enhancer and built-in exciter add to the powerful punch by psycho-acoustic manipulation of your program material. An intelligent peak limiter protects against any clipping and dangerous sound pressure levels. The ULTRAMIZER features full MIDI capability, allowing real-time parameter control and program selection. Servo-balanced inputs and outputs on gold-plated XLR and TRS connectors are provided.

Open software-upgradable architecture keeps the unit future-proof. The DSP1424 PRO comes with free ULTRAMIZER software, also downloadable at www.behringer.com, that allows total remote control via PC.
