Behringer has released version 2.0 of their V-Amp Design editor software. The firmware is available free of charge from the Behringer website and supports the entire range of V-Amp modelers--Bass V-Amp and V-Amp 2 desktop modelers as well as their 19" Po versions. With a new screen design and many new functions such as virtual keyboard and MIDI synth sounds, the update should please all die-hard V-Amp fans. The software for Windows-based studio environments makes storing presets a snap.

The new Design v.2.0 offers a plethora of real improvements over the 1.0 version. With the software's newly designed editor screens, it is now possible to display all setup parameters as MIDI or physical values at once. The editor offers a virtual keyboard for controlling Bass V-Amp MIDI synthesizer sounds such as additional recording, start and stop buttons for the software's new loop sampler. A newly designed configuration window with improved MIDI scanning function and digital output configuration is reserved for the 19" Pro models. Additional improved library functions such as automated recognition of imported SysEx files round out the feature set. The V-Amp Design v.2.0 editor software is compatible with all Windows platforms and runs using just one installation file.
