For the Summer NAMM show, Crate introduced a new series of solid-state combos.
Crate now offers three distinct solid state lines which are clearly targeted, cosmetically distinctive. Each of the lines offer Flex-Wave distortion and low-damped power amps. The larger units feature three channel operation with individual Gain, EQ controls and Level for each of the three channels, and the Crate exclusive feature "channel tracking."
They also offer some unique differentiators. The GLX "Live Effects" Series feature digital effects and are designed to be simple to operate. They were developed primarily for ease of transport to a stage and are intuitive and functional during live performances. The larger units feature a distinctive cosmetic appearance including a back-lit control panel for use under any light conditions.
The GTX "Tech Effects" Series also feature digital effects, but have an expanded DSP section to allow for the independent control of 15 Multi effects, plus 15 Delays and a separate digital reverb control. There is also a tap button to set the rate of all time sensitive effects.
For the GT Series, many of the features of the digital effects models are available in a spring reverb version. These models range in power from 15 to 120 watts and will be available in late summer 2003. For more information, visit their web site at www.crateamps.com. |
