July 18, 2003 The cost
of owning a custom shop instrument can be prohibitive to many, but ESP Guitars is hoping to change that with the introduction of their new ESP Standard Series
guitars.
According to the company, custom shop quality will come to the production line with these new
Standard Series models: Eclipse II, a single cutaway, arched top solidbody
with premium quilted maple top, set neck construction, and mahogany neck.
The Horizon-NT II is a double-cutaway arched top--with quilted maple
top--and neck-thru-body construction. The M-II has an alder body and is
available with rosewood or maple fretboard. And the Viper is a set-neck
available in both camouflage and black.
All Standard Series guitars feature: Seymour Duncan
or EMG pickups, Original Floyd Rose (on the M-II) or Gotoh bridges, premium
quality woods, and the craftsmanship and durability you'd expect from a
top-line ESP guitar.
US Retail Prices:
- Eclipse-II - $1899
- Horizon NT-II - $1899
- M-II - $1699
- Viper - $1799 (Camouflage $1899).
