Garrison has paired the sweetheart of tone woods, Sitka Spruce with the rich, ribboned grain of Mahogany to create the new G-4 Series.
The G-4 Series features a solid Sitka Spruce top, solid Mahogany back and sides, solid Mahogany neck, solid Rosewood fretboard and bridge, Mother of Pearl dots on the fretboard, custom Garrison chrome tuners and Garrison's herringbone pattern wood inlay rosette. Rounding out the features is the Buzz Feiten Tuning System, D'Addario EXP Strings, TUSQ nut and saddle and for players wanting to go live - optional Fishman Prefix Electronics.
Garrison's method of guitar construction -- the Griffiths Active Bracing System (GABS) - is also found inside the G-4 Series. GABS technology combines dozens of the guitars braces, the bridge plate, the kerfing and the binding into one integrated glass-fibre system that "activates" the guitar by vibrating as a single unit. Single-unit bracing means that no matter where you create a vibration on a Garrison guitar the resonance has an uninterrupted path to travel throughout the instrument. GABS technology eliminates more than 30 individually machined and individually installed wood pieces found in traditional bracing systems. This provides enhanced structural stability that would have taken hours to construct... Garrison achieves it in 45 seconds.
The G-4 Series also comes with a custom-fit Garrison hard-shell case, 5-Year Transferable Warranty and is available right and left-handed (at no extra charge), cutaway and in
12-string models. The retail price is $749.99.
