PRESS RELEASE

Numark to Ship TTX1 with Improved 4.5 kg/cm Motor

July 24, 2003

Numark announced that its flagship TTX1 turntable will be shipping with an improved direct-drive motor that boasts a new ultra-high torque of 4.5kg/cm. In addition, all Numark premium turntable products such as the forthcoming TT500 will feature the same motor.

The TTX1 is designed to be the ultimate turntable for any DJ style. Featuring interchangeable tonearms, the TTX1 ships with both straight and S-shaped tonearms for heavy scratching or high-fidelity spinning. The TTX1 also offers modular Pitch Fader and Button cartridges that can be repositioned to accommodate normal horizontal or vertical "battle mode" turntable placement.

A powerful Key Lock feature lets the DJ retain a specific key--even one different than the original--while also continuously changing tempo. Pitch range is adjustable to 10, 20 and 50%, and playback speeds include 33, 45, and 78 rpm. Direction is reversible via a dedicated button, and there are two start/stop buttons. Pitch, RPM, BPM, and motor settings are clearly shown on a vibrant, blue illuminated display. A replaceable bright white LED with a continuous strobe assures visibility in low light environments.

The TTX1 offers S/PDIF (coaxial) output for direct connectivity to Mac/PC or CD-R devices, as well as selectable phono or line level analog outputs without a ground wire. The turntable is housed in a solid core steel enclosure with a rubber base for damping vibration and eliminating undesirable noise. Visit www.ttx1.com for complete specs and features.
