PreSonus has announced a special package that incorporates its TubePRE, a $129.95 value, and a Studio Projects B1 condenser microphone, which retails for $99. The special $199 bundle also includes $100 worth of accessories including a gig bag, an XLR cable and a microphone shock mount.
The B1/TubePre Bundle will be available through any authorized PreSonus dealer.
The TubePRE is a single-channel preamp based on a 12AX7 vacuum tube circuit that provides a stable, transformer-free signal path. The unit can be used as the first stage of a live or studio system, as a direct box or in a side effects chain. The dual-servo gain stage design employs no capacitors providing ultra-low noise performance and wide dynamic control that allows the TubePRE to boost the desirable signal without increasing unwanted background noise.
The Studio Projects B1 condenser microphone is a large diaphragm cardioid microphone, which employs a transformerless design.
