Unveiled at the Summer NAMM show, the Technics SX-KN2600 and the SX-KN2400 digital keyboards take music enthusiasts on a journey through pop music, past and present.

By utilizing the Music Stylist feature, the user may search for the desired musical style by genre, era, or alphabetically. The keyboards' advanced accompaniment system allows the user to recreate guitar sounds from the 1960's and 1970's, and the synthesizer filter brings today's Dance and Pop patterns to life.

Both models offer 170 rhythms with four stylist settings for each rhythm. The KN2600 even has 40 additional settings, giving it a total of 720, while the KN2400 has a total of 680 settings. In addition, the KN2600 has 1028 instrument sounds plus 24 drum kits, while the KN2400 offers 988 sounds and 34 drum kits.

Technics has also equipped these keyboards with the latest Digital Networking capabilities to offer creativity for every user. For instance, both of the digital keyboards include is a USB port. This allows the user to become fully connected to the World Wide Web, where musical contents can be transferred directly from a computer to the keyboard. Audio performances can be recorded on the computer in full digital quality since the USB port provides full MIDI connection to the computer. Another benefit of the KN2400 and KN2600 is Song Manager software, for quick and easy uploading and downloading of songs.

"The user is not the only one who can benefit from these features," says Dan Slick, Group Manager, Technics Musical Instruments Division. "They can send their recordings as a WMA or MP3 file to their family and friends through e-mail, or even burn them a personal CD."

Boasting the latest in digital storage, the SD Memory Card slot is an additional feature of the KN2600 digital keyboard. It can be used to play back SD Audio files, allowing a user to perform along with recordings of their favorite CDs or Karaoke files. SD Memory Cards provide an impressive capacity of up to 1GB of memory for an unbeatable amount of data storage.

Staying creative with Technics' new digital keyboards is simple with the help of its many diverse user functions. Both models possess an LCD screen that is large, full, and graphic. Also included is a 16-track sequencer, a 64-Note Polyphony, full Sound Edit, Pattern Composer and NX Sound Software. Both keyboards are designed with a 4-speaker system.
