New Modular Acoustic/Electric Preamp System from Takamine

July 24, 2003

(Click for a close-up)

Takamine Guitars shoots to offer the player the end of obsolescence with their modular acoustic electric preamp capability, SoundChoice.

With SoundChoice, a player can select the Takamine model that best suits his style of playing, and then install any one of the four distinctly different Takamine preamp systems in less than two minutes. No modifications are needed.

Takamine owners with guitars crafted after 1988 can also upgrade their guitar with electronics like the DSP, the digital programmable on board preamp. Other SoundChoice systems include the AAP semi-parametric EQ system, the Graph X graphic EQ with exciter control, and the new CT4B graphic EQ system with built in chromatic tuner.

As new breakthroughs in preamp technology occur, Takamine players will have the ability to access the latest systems.
