Fender introduced it's first solid-state amplifier designed to handle the demands of the modern pedal steel guitar. This new amplifier--the Fender Steel-King--also works anywhere clean full-frequency instrument amplification is desired, from jazz guitar to country finger picking styles to Latin American electric guitar styles and reggae or "world beat" guitar. It can even be used for vintage electric piano, according to Fender.

The new Steel-King is a 200Watt (4 Ohms) solid state amplifier with an all-new preamp design tailored specifically for clean, versatile tone shaping. It features a genuine Fender Custom 15 Driver based on the now-collectable JBL D130F model used by Fender in the 1960s and '70s.

The cast frame speaker is designed for strength, and its shallow cone profile provides for a wide dispersion and stage coverage. The high flux density and large, lightweight voice coil adds sensitivity, and its aluminum center cap allows for distinct high-frequency response.

The Steel-King also features an XLR line output with level control, ground lift, Pre-Post EQ effects loop, tuner output with mute limiter and Genuine Fender long-spring Reverb by Accutronics. A three-button footswitch and fitted cover are included

US MSRP is $999.99.
