PRESS RELEASE

Three New Models Added to Sabian's B8 Cymbal Family

July 23, 2004

In the latest extension of its B8 cymbal series, Sabian has introduced a 16" Chinese cymbal, and 17" and 18" Thin Crashes. Not only do these models extend the range of sizes and sounds available with B8, the 17" and 18" crashes are in keeping with current market demands for larger crash cymbals. Crafted from pure B8 bronze, an alloy of 92% copper and 8% tin, these cymbals respond with the tonally tight, bright and cutting sounds, according to Sabian.

Commented Sabian cymbal specialist Dave Williams: "B8 has always been very popular. But with drummers once again adding more cymbals to their setups we were receiving more and more special requests for a smaller Chinese cymbal and larger crashes. The Chinese is very punchy and cuts off quickly with a rapid decay rate. The crashes, because they're that little bit bigger and contain more metal than the more common 16", respond with bigger, fuller, louder sounds. With these new models drummers can now expand their setups to the larger sizes they want."

Sabian utilizes it own proprietary hi-tech process to precision craft B8 cymbals before hand finishing them and aging them to maturity in the Sabian Vault. All B8 cymbals are quality protected by the Sabian One-Year Warranty Program.
