Shure Now Shipping SM86 Wireless Mic

Cardioid condenser mic capsule to be available with SLX, ULX, UHF systems

Combining the ruggedness of Shure's live performance microphones with the sound of a Shure condenser, the SM86 is now available as a wireless capsule with Shure's SLX, ULX, and UHF systems.

Like the hardwired SM86, wireless SM86 capsules will have a cardioid pattern and frequency response of 50 Hz to 18 kHz, while delivering high gain-before-feedback and a tailored response for the reproduction of vocals. In addition, all wireless handheld SM86 transmitters will be equipped with an integral two-stage windscreen and pop filter, as well as a built-in, three-point shock mount which virtually eliminates stand and handling noise.
