July 23, 2004

Constantly looking to fill every drummer's needs, the Zildjian Company announced the all-new and improved ZBT Sheet Bronze cymbal line, specifically designed for the starting drummer.

Zildjian Bronze Technology (ZBT), originally introduced in 1998, now features an advanced sheet bronze alloy that projects a loud, bright, musical sound as powerful as any Zildjian. More traditional hammering techniques, finer lathing groves and an improved, more musical shape, make the ZBT line the first choice for the starting drummer...and beyond.

Gregg Stein, Product Manager, commented, "We're constantly looking for ways to address our customers needs and with the growing trend of drummers looking to Zildjian for larger cymbals, we've added an 18" Crash to the ZBT cymbal line as well as the all new Expander Set which includes an 18" Crash and an 18" China." Stein continued, "For the band and marching segment we have also re-designed the ZBT Band Pairs for easier playability and a more musical sound. This line simply has something for everyone."

The new ZBT cymbals can be purchased separately or in box-sets of factory recommended cymbal set-ups: the ZBT Pro 4 pack, the ZBT 4 pack, and the ZBT 3 pack which contains a selection of core ZBT models. Also available is the all-new Expander Set, including an 18" Crash and an 18" China, specifically designed to allow players to add more sounds and colors once they have their core set-up in place. Each of these sets are powerfully merchandised in completely new packaging with striking, eye-catching colors and feature some of today's hottest players.

Zildjian is also supporting the ZBT re-launch with an integrated new advertising, marketing and promotional campaign to celebrate today's hottest Zildjian Artists when they were just getting started...and Zildjian was there for them. Look for the marketing program beginning this July.
