New CoolFire 15 Combo from Alesis Targets Acoustic Players

July 25, 2004

CoolFire 15

Alesis introduced a new amplifier designed for the acoustic musician at Summer NAMM. With a clean sounding power amp, optimized cabinet and speaker design, the CoolFire 15 was designed with acoustic guitar players in mind.

The CoolFire has a full 15 watts of power, with an 8" woofer plus a 1" tweeter for detailed, full-range acoustic sound.

The CoolFire also incorporates Alesis DSP technology allowing for 80 diverse presets that can easily be edited, overwritten or restored. There are over 20 different effects types to choose from, including guitar models, 12-string simulation, delay, reverb, and compression. There is also a built-in auto-chromatic tuner.

The CoolFire Amp features a 1/4" stereo headphone output on the front panel that mutes the speaker when in use. Additionally, the rear panel supports a 1/4" expression pedal input for control of effect parameters, an external speaker output jack, and stereo RCA inputs for connecting a CD or MP3 player. A dedicated "Stereo Link" output allows a second guitar amp to be connected for separated stereo amplification.
