Peavey Adds to PV Series Audio Products

Peavey is making a number of new additions to its PV Series, including four small-application mixers with reference-quality microphone preamps–the PV 6, PV 8, PV 10 and PV 14–as well as equalizers, crossovers, loudspeakers and cables.

The new PV mixers feature the same microphone preamps used in Peavey RQ Series mixers–and an astonishingly low THD (total harmonic distortion) of 0.0007%–these new mixers are equally useful in project studios or live/program music mixing situations.

All four PV Series mixers include three-band EQ on each channel; effects send; two stereo channels; and both XLR and 1/4" inputs on every channel. The PV 10 and PV 14 have built-in effects processors.

Peavey will also expand PV Series to include new rack equalizers (PV 231EQ and PV 215EQ) and crossovers (PV 23XO and PV 35XO), as well as loudspeakers (PV 115 and PV 215). A new line of PV Series instrument, speaker, microphone and specialty cables will feature high quality Neutrik connectors.

The new PV Series mixers, equalizers, crossovers, loudspeakers and cables will be available in Q3 2004 from authorized Peavey retailers.

PV Series mixers

  • PV 6: Four channels, 48V phantom power, two mono/two stereo inputs, TRS/RCA outputs; U.S. MSRP $109.99
  • PV 8: Six channels, 48V phantom power, four mono/two stereo inputs, TRS/RCA outputs, inserts on mic channels; U.S. MSRP $155.99
  • PV 10: Eight channels, 48V phantom power, six mono/two stereo inputs, XLR/TRS/RCA outputs, built-in digital EFX, inserts on all channels; U.S. MSRP $299.99
  • PV 14: Twelve channels, 48V phantom power, ten mono/two stereo inputs, XLR/TRS/RCA outputs, built-in digital EFX, inserts on all channels; U.S. MSRP $369.99

PV Series equalizers

  • PV 215EQ: dual 15-band EQ with 12 dB cut and gain, 85 Hz low-cut filter; U.S. MSRP $119.99
  • PV 231EQ: dual 31-band EQ with 12 dB cut and gain, variable low- and high-cut filters; U.S. MSRP $199.99

PV Series crossovers

  • PV 23XO: two-way stereo, three-way mono crossover; U.S. MSRP $119.99
  • PV 35XO: three-way stereo, four- or five-way mono crossover; U.S. MSRP $199.99
  • Both units have internal power supplies and XLR inputs/outputs

PV Series enclosures
