Peavey Electronics Corporation introduced the VSX 26 and VSX 48 loudspeaker management systems. More than merely crossovers, these new VSX models feature Peavey processing technology, web-based internal software and more for use in single- or multi-zone applications. With their muliple I/O schemes, these new VSX units enable versatile sound system configuration options. The VSX 26, which has two inputs and six outputs, can receive a stereo signal and cross over at three points in stereo. Each of these stereo signals can be processed individually, as well. With its four inputs and eight outputs, the VSX 48 model is ideal for multi-zone use or for setting delayed fill speakers. The SHARC-based VSX 26 and VSX 48 have complete front-panel controls with lockout and can be configured via internal software, which is pre-loaded into the unit (no additional software is ever needed). The software provides a higher-resolution GUI for easier system control and will launch by simply plugging a computer into the VSX via its front-panel USB port. Once connected, the computer can run the software or load software updates when they become available at Peavey.com. These single-rack-space units also feature built-in exclusive Feedback Ferret digital feedback elimination, parametric EQ, graphic EQ, fully configurable crossover, compressor, limiter, delay and RTA. The VSX 26 and VSX 48 will be available in Q3 2004 from authorized Peavey retailers. Features
