8KIT Drum Microphone System from Samson

In response to the growing trend toward the use of dual overhead condensers when micing a drum kit, Samson has added the 8KIT to their line of Drum Mic Systems. The 8KIT starts with two of the company's C01 Condensers. With their large 19mm diaphragms and smooth flat frequency response, they are suited for overhead imaging. Three Q-Tom microphones with integrated rim mount clips handle the task of dynamic tom micing, while one Q-Snare with integrated rim mount clip hi-lights the precise crack and decay of the snare drum. The Q-Kick with its large dynamic element captures the low-end attack of the bass drum with ease, while a new C02H Mini Pencil Condenser handles close hi-hat micing. All of the microphones in the 8KIT feature a cardioid pickup pattern voiced specifically for the drum they are capturing and Gold-plated XLR connections to insure a low noise signal path.
