New Stagestar Custom EFX Kit from Tama

Tama is building on the huge success of its compact Stagestar kit with an upscale version, Stagestar Custom EFX. The new kit is designed for the working pro who needs a second kit for working in venues where his or her full-size kit isn't practical or available. "The new Stagestar Custom EFX's vintage wrapped finish gives it a different look than our standard Stagestar," said Paul Specht of Tama. "And if you look closer you'll see other differences. Swingstar Custom EFX features full-sized Stagestar hardware, which is more heavy-duty than the original downsized Stagestar hardware, but still lightweight enough for fast getaways. In addition there's a bass drum lifter, which allows drummers to use their own personal pedal and still hit the kick drum's sweet spot. Many bass drum lifters don't allow the kick drum to be easily packed away in a roadcase, but ours folds out of the way for fast teardown.
