Phosphor Bronze Strings Added to Elixir Lineup

Elixir Strings used the Summer NAMM show to announce a family of acoustic guitars strings for players who prefer the unique and textured sound of phosphor bronze strings.

The consensus among many musicians is that phosphor bronze strings offer the most sensitive, expressive tone that brings out the very best in guitars–virtually taking them to a higher level of play. However, that tone can be short-lived. Elixir Strings claims to have solved this classic conundrum by applying an ultra-thin layer of NANOWEB Coating to protect the string's windings hence preserving the coveted phosphor bronze tone.

"These new strings capture the rich, expressive tone of the finest phosphor bronze strings and extend that tone 3-5 times longer than ordinary strings", says Craig Theorin, Product Manager, Elixir Strings. "Phosphor bronze players, who are typically accustomed to a short-lived 'sweet spot' of tone, report to us that they experience this coveted tone consistently through the entire life of the strings."

Sets of New Phosphor Bronze Elixir Strings with NANOWEB Coating for Acoustic Guitars will be offered in Extra Light, Custom Light, Light, Light-Medium and Medium gauges. The MSRP is $14.99 and they are available through distributors or direct from Elixir Strings.
