Fender Acoustics enhances its DG-22 Series this summer with the introduction of three new models featuring built-in electronics and figured exotic woods.
All three models feature a solid spruce top for its bright tonal characteristics, and they are accented by a choice of highly figured Dao, Asian Ebony or Bubinga back and sides. The exotic hardwoods featured on these guitars compliment the spruce top both tonally and aesthetically, giving the instruments a warm, rich feel according to the company.
The new DG-22 SCE Exotic Hardwood guitars feature a soft Venetian cutaway for comfortable access to the higher registers. Each model also comes with a Fishman Classic IV-T preamp with built-in digital tuner, offering even more value for players who want the flexibility of playing either straight acoustic or plugged-in to an amplifier.
Additional features of the new Fender DG-22 SCE Exotics include a maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, rosewood bridge and gold die-cast tuning machines. US MSRP is $749.99.
