One of Hamer's most popular exotic woods is rare African Mahogany, better known as Korina. Hamer USA has increased their 2005 Korina offering with the new Special and Vector Korina models. If a simple, classic looking instrument is what you need, look no further than the Special Korina Jr. Along with a definite vibe and distinctive tone, the Special (GSPKJR) features a 2-piece, solid Korina body, with a 3-piece Korina neck. Powered by a single, Seymour Duncan, dog-eared P-90 pickup, this guitar is ready to rock. The Special Korina also features a "quarter sawn" Rosewood fingerboard with MOP dot inlays, a tortoise shell pickguard and a wrap-around tailpiece. Retail: $3000 including case. The Vector Korina's (GVKS) body and neck are hand-crafted, fashioning a lightweight guitar that packs a heavy sound. The Vector also features a Rosewood fingerboard with MOP dot inlays and white pickguard. It's powered by two Seymour Duncan '59 pickups. Retail: $4000 including case.
