PRESS RELEASE
Yorkville Adds Four Models to NX Loudspeaker Line
July 25, 2005
Advertisement The newly designed NX series cabinets are the next evolution in injection-molded loudspeaker technology from Yorkville Sound. Non-resonant Polypropylene construction materials, improved cabinet design with a greatly reinforced internal structure improves the low frequency response of newest NX Series boxes, making for a better and more balanced overall loudspeaker performance according to the company. Four loudspeakers have been added to the NX line. The passive NX35 and NX25 cabinets replace the NX350 and NX250 respectively. The 350-watt NX35 uses a premium high-powered and highly efficient Neodymium 12-inch woofer, while the NX25 offers a more cost effective ceramic magnet loaded version for users where 250-watts is more than enough power. An improved dual bulb CTLTM protection circuit is now used to protect the aluminum diaphragm Neodymium magnetic high frequency horn drivers in both models. Two new active NX Series cabinets have been added to the line as well. The 550-watt bi-amplified NX55P active speaker enclosure uses a combination of amplifier technologies to create the best combination of lightweight enclosure and high quality sound. A combination of neodymium woofer magnetics, lightweight Polypropylene construction and high tech amplifier technology create a loudspeaker that has remarkable performance in a lightweight package while the NX25P offers the best value in a 12-inch and horn active loudspeaker cabinet. The NX25P uses the same components and cabinet design as the passive NX25 with an integrated bi- amplified 200-watt power module. Simple connectivity and a minimum of controls provide maximum versatility, making the NX25P the ideal solution for many applications. The modified trapezoidal shape of the NX series loudspeakers allows both active and passive versions to function flawlessly in any PA application. A reinforced cabinet design ensures a proper up-angle and stable footing when NX loudspeakers are employed as monitors, and allows NX cabinets to be packed in more compact arrays or multiple cabinet clusters.
