PRESS RELEASE
G-DEC 30 Guitar Entertainment Center
July 14, 2006
Advertisement Fender proudly introduces the follow-up to its award-winning, revolutionary Guitar Digital Entertainment Center (G-DEC®)—the all new G-DEC® 30. With upgraded new tools based on an unprecedented amount of user feedback from around the world, the new G-DEC 30 is everything consumers have been asking for and a whole lot more. Said Shane Nicholas, Marketing Manager for Fender Amplifiers, "With the original G-DEC, we set out to create a fun, easy to use and all-encompassing practice tool and entertainment center. But at the same time, we knew that it was just a starting point. The new G-DEC 30 is an evolution that comes from the requests for upgrades from an incredible number of players who have written and called with ideas, and from where we always knew we wanted to take the G-DEC platform." As with its predecessor, the new G-DEC 30 is a guitar amplifier with digital amp modeling, effects, backing loops, phrase sampler, and tuner, all in one great sounding package. A total of 70 preset loops—all of the originals plus numerous new patterns–include drum beats, bass lines and other instruments, providing a musical backing track that is fully user-programmable. The newly added Composition Mode also allows individual measures to be combined by the user into whole songs. The professional quality digital suite of amps, effects and backing loops in the new G-DEC 30 can now be sent out to external cabinets or PA systems via a rear panel interface that includes versatile Speaker and Line Outputs. Using the Line Output, a player can send the electric guitar signal to another amplifier, while also sending the backing loops through the Speak Output to a PA system that is voiced for a broad spectrum of instruments, or to a studio mixing board. The result is that the new G-DEC 30 can serve as a digital quality starting point for a solo musician who wants to take all of the G-DEC 30 features to large venues or into the recording studio. With the new G-DEC 30, CD or MP3 devices can also be easily hooked up for "play along" capability. The internal 28 second Phrase Sampler can sample the incoming guitar signal to create loops, or song snippets from CD/MP3 may be captured for careful study. The Phrase Sampler can also now create "sound on sound" overdubs. Additional new features include an on-board memory so that MIDI song files can be loaded in from a computer and stored on the amplifier, and an optional 4-button footswitch that can access program selection and stop-start functions, and the ability for future software upgrades from Fender to easily be loaded via MIDI. US MSRP is $493.32. For more information, visit their web site at http://www.fender.com/.
