G5135 Electromatic Corvette Guitar

July 14, 2006

Gretsch® proudly introduces the latest addition to its Electromatic® line, the new G5135 Corvette guitar. Made in response to the numerous players who have requested a contemporary version of this short-lived model from the 1960s, the new G5135 Corvette guitar combines modern features with retro styling into one instrument that is truly built for speed.

The ultra slim, solid mahogany body is lightweight and easy to shoulder, without sacrificing the unique, biting tonal properties for which mahogany is known. The newly designed Mega'Tron™ pickups are a perfect match for this body, offering a sound that, according to Gretsch Marketing Manager, Mike Lewis, "Howls at the wind!"

Additional features include a set mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard and 22 frets, adjustable truss rod, an anchored Adjusto-Matic™ bridge and Bigsby® B50 Tailpiece, dot position markers, pearloid headstock inlays, black pickguard, chrome plated hardware, vintage style tuners and G-Arrow knobs.

Available in a Burgundy gloss urethane, the new Gretsch G5135 Corvette Guitar can be seen and played for the first time at this summer's NAMM show in Austin, Texas. US MSRP is $750.00.
