PRESS RELEASE
New TransTube Series Amplifiers
July 14, 2006
Advertisement With increased dynamic response, enhanced tube emulation technology and the return of the famed "silver stripe" cabinet design, Peavey proudly introduces its completely redesigned TransTube Series of guitar amplifiers. Peavey's exclusive, patented TransTube technology emulates the sound of tube amplifiers with the convenience and reliability of solid-state design. The TransTube preamp tailors the gain level for the desired amount of drive, and the power amp responds to the preamp with natural compression that increases with the amp's volume. The result is a line of amplifiers with widely ranging dynamics and natural "grit" like a tube amp. From the gig-worthy and internationally renowned Bandit® 112 model—which delivers 80 watts into 8 ohms (or 100 watts into 4 ohms)—to the 7-watt Audition® practice amp, the new Peavey TransTube line covers the performance spectrum with models to match any player's needs. The Bandit 112 and Envoy® 110, the largest and loudest models in the series, feature speaker-simulated direct outputs that can send signal to a live or studio mixing console, eliminating the need for miking. TransTube amplifiers feature Peavey Blue Marvel® loudspeakers, switchable Clean and Lead channels and optimized equalization. (Please see individual features and specifications for all models in the new TransTube lineup below.) TransTube technology debuted at Winter NAMM 1995 after several years of research and development, during which Peavey engineers studied every aspect of tube amp design and performance, from their gain structures and cabinet voicings to clipping points, damping factors and power outputs. TransTube amplifiers have won numerous awards since their original introduction, including nods from Music & Sound Retailer's Music & Sound Awards and MMR (Musical Merchandise Review)'s Dealers' Choice Awards. The new Peavey TransTube guitar amplifiers will be available from authorized Peavey retailers in Q4 2006. Bandit® 112
