Taylor Guitars Offers Fall Limiteds in Acoustic and Acoustic/Electric Flavors

Taylor Guitars' long-standing tradition of Fall Limited Editions takes a new turn in 2007, with offerings in Taylor's Acoustic and Acoustic/Electric product lines.

The GS4-E-LTD expands the appeal of Bob Taylor's flagship Acoustic body style even further — it is the first-ever Grand Symphony with a satin finish. The GS4-E-LTD has back and sides of Tasmanian Blackwood, a wood similar in both sight and sound to Hawaiian koa. Tasteful, cream-colored binding edges the body and ebony fretboard, which is inlaid with understated mother-of-pearl dots. The GS4-E-LTD comes with Taylor's Expression System® pickup, for high fidelity plugged-in playing.

Several of Taylor's most popular Acoustic/Electric models are receiving tonewood upgrades as 2007 Fall Limiteds.

The 914ce-LTD has back and sides of solid, gloss-finished Brazilian rosewood, one of the rarest tonewoods on earth. A Sitka spruce top on the 914ce-LTD enhances the Brazilian rosewood's extended tonal palette for a signature sound with strong bass, clear midrange, and ringing high frequencies. In keeping with Taylor's 900 Series accoutrements, a bone nut and saddle, gold Gotoh tuners, and the distinctive 900 Series fingerboard inlay decorate the 914ce-LTD.

Stunning "fiddleback" walnut lends its characteristically warm sound to Taylor's 814ce-LTD; blonde maple binding contrasts beautifully with its glossy, highly figured solid walnut back and sides. A Sitka top helps create a satisfying well of resonance, and Taylor's abalone 800 Series fretboard inlay pattern completes the picture of a guitar built for the connoisseur.

For those who prefer Indian rosewood, the 410ce-LTD and 414ce-LTD have backs and sides of rich-sounding, satin-finished solid Indian rosewood, with solid Sitka spruce tops. The rosewood upgrade and mother-of-pearl diamond fretboard inlays bring a new sense of sophistication to these well-loved Taylor classics.

All Acoustic/Electric 2007 Fall Limited Editions feature Venetian cutaways, and Taylor's Expression System, for the highest quality amplified reproduction of each tonewood combination and body style.
