Klein + Hummel introduces its new series of installation loudspeakers at InfoComm 2008. The K+H IS-122, IS-123 and IS-153 loudspeakers incorporate precise pattern control, superb frequency response, and feature a modular, removable back plate system, making the line a perfect match for performing arts, house of worship, and music venues.
With two twelve-inch designs and one fifteen-inch model, Klein + Hummel's installation speakers can be tailored to virtually any application. The IS-122 features a twelve-inch, two-way design, while the IS-123 and IS-153 have a three-way design. Each loudspeaker was designed with Klein + Hummel's exclusive Mathematically Modeled Dispersion™ technology to create optimum coverage control and smooth arrayability with rotatable horn patterns in 80 x 50 and 50 x 40 formats.
"The control patterns on these speakers are beautifully linear and seamless," said David McNutt, industry team manager for installed sound at Sennheiser. "K+H has brought high-output precision and networked performance to large and mid-sized venues."
Back plate selection may be either factory ordered or field swapped between a passive crossover, direct wiring for external biamplification or a fully active self-powered version with DSP tunings optimized by Klein + Hummel. A single CAT-5 cable can distribute digital audio to a set of installed sound series powered speakers while providing integrated remote control and monitoring when used with the K8 system from Klein + Hummel.
