Ashdown Adds New 400W MAG Bass Combo

January 19, 2001Originally developed to deliver classic Ashdown tone to bass players who don’t require the sophisticated tone shaping and connectivity of its high-end ABM systems, Ashdown's affordable MAG range is expanding with the launch of three new bass combos at Winter NAMM.
The MAG C210T-400 combo features 2-inch x 10-inch Ashdown BlueLine speakers with an additional HF horn to handle high frequencies. The MAG C410T-400 combo is a 4-inch x 10-inch horn configuration and the MAG C115-400 combo uses a single 15-inch driver.
Central to all three combos is a massive 400-watts RMS power section with intelligent fan cooling and "Soft Start" relay power switching. Preamp facilities include high- and low- gain instrument inputs, five-band rotary EQ, deep and bright switches, VU input level metering and the famous Ashdown sub-harmonizer.
"The MAG combos have always been big on value," comments Ashdown's Mark Gooday. "Now the MAG combos are also big on power. These amplifiers are ideal for the busy semi-pro player who needs a solid tone and plenty of power."
Cabinets are made from high-quality plywood with a tough carpet covering and kick-proof steel grilles.
