BIAS Announces Deck LE 2.7Light version of Desk includes support for ASIO-compatible audio hardware January 20, 2001Berkley Integrated Audio Software, Inc (BIAS), announced Deck le, the light edition of their highly-acclaimed multitrack
digital audio workstation software for the Macintosh. Deck le is a limited-feature edition of the program, intended to be an
entry-level application that includes core features and functionality of the full version of the program. Like the full version of Deck,
Deck le supports most ASIO-compatible audio hardware, including the MOTU 2408/1224, Event Layla/Gina/Darla, Digidesign,
Audio Media III, Lexicon Core 2, M-Audio Delta series, Sea Sound Solo, TASCAM US-428, and others. Deck le will record, edit
and play back up to 8 tracks of CD quality audio, and will support most popular file formats. Deck le will be sold as a retail
product, but will also come bundled with leading audio cards and interfaces from BIAS OEM partners.
"The addition of ASIO hardware in the newly-released Deck 2.7 made this a natural time to create a light version," said Jason
Davies, Director of Worldwide Sales at BIAS. "We are very happy to make this streamlined version of Deck available to users
through our own retail channels, as well as through our OEM partners - including TASCAM who has recently begun shipping
Deck le with their very popular US-428 USB interface controller."
Pricing and Availability
Deck le will be available Q1 2001 at a suggested retail price of US $99.00, both through the worldwide network of authorized
BIAS dealers and distributors. Deck le is also available through the BIAS OEM Partner program.
