DigiTech Introduces GENESIS3

DigiTech announces the release of GENESIS3 a GENETX guitar processor for recording and live performance guitar use featuring GENETX DigiTech's newest amp and cabinet modeling technology.

DigiTech's new GENETX technology gives users the ability to create their own unique amp and cabinet models quickly and easily. Using GENETX. guitarists can mix any of GENESIS3's 12 popular amp and acoustic guitar models to create new sounds never before conceived. The GENESIS3 comes equipped with 48 model/effect presets and has room for saving up to 48 new creations. New amp models can be created with the GENESIS-3 or via the included GENETX Editor/Librarian software (PC and MAC) and then downloaded into the unit. Presets and libraries can be shared and traded with other guitarists through DigiTech's Web site at www.digitech.com.

The GENESIS3 uses DigiTech's powerful Audio DNA TM tone engine to enhance its sounds with up to 11 studio-quality effects at a time. These include auto swell, chorus. flanger, phaser, triggered Hanger, triggered phaser, tremolo, pitch shift, detune. Whammy ya ya, auto ya, synth talk, envelope filter and rotary speaker. Other effects include compressor, noise gate, 3-band EQ with sweepable mid, panning and multiple delay and reverb settings. Each of the included effects has up to five adjustable parameters that can be easily accessed using the front panel turn-knobs. By connecting the optional floor expression pedal, users can also change parameters while playing.

The GENESIS3 desktop unit features five front panel turn-knobs and can be expanded by adding an external expression pedal. The GENESIS3 comes with plenty of' 24bit A/D/A connections and includes a'/4-inch input jack, CD inputs, MIDI in and out/thru jacks, independent'/4-inch left and right stereo outputs and an S/PDIF digital output. Using the S/PDIF digital output, users can connect directly to any digital recording device including many of the latest computer sound cards.
