DigiTech Releases GNX1
January 20, 2001DigiTech unveils its new GENETX technology in the form of the new GNX1 GENETX
Guitar Processor. GENETX is a software technology that is used in conjunction
with DigiTech's new AudioDNA DSP engine, giving users unprecedented control to
create their own custom amplifier and cabinet models.
Using tools like the "Warp" control and cabinet tuning, guitarists
can combine the characteristics of their two favorite amp and cabinet systems
into a new hybrid "hypermodel" system. A limitless number of amp tones
can be created in a manner never before available.
"The GNX1 takes musicians to the next level of play," said Rob Urry.
president of Harman Music Group. "The technology inside this new processor
allows guitarists to create entirely new sounds - something that wasn't possible
until now."
In true DigiTech fashion. the GNX1 is also equipped with a full palette of
studio quality effects to complement the powerful tone processing muscle available.
The GNX1 gives users sound shaping ability at their fingertips. From standard
dynamics processing effects like compression and noise reductions, to the classic
sounds of chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo, delay and reverb, to DigiTech's signature
Whammy pitch blending, Synth Talk and Ya Ya, this guitar processor has enough
processing resources to satisfy even the most advanced effects guru.
In addition to the phenomenal tone and effects, the GNX1 also serves as a useful
practicing tool for all levels of players. The Learn-A-Lick feature is a custom
phrase sampler that can record a passage of high-speed guitar solo and slow it
down from its original speed without changing the pitch. The GNX1's built-in Rhythm
Trainer also provides timing practice with 10 styles of drum patterns to play
against at any tempo.
The retail price on the GNX1 is $499.95. For more information, visit their web site at www.digitech.com. |
