January 19, 2001

The Eclipse unit provides the power, performance and signature Eventide audio effects in a single rack space unit, the company's first in that configuration.

"Eclipse is a totally professional product; it's no junior edition.", comments Eventide audio sales manager Gerry Griffin. "Although it's just half the size of our industry-standard H3000 series Harmonizer units, Eclipse has five times the processing power, and twice the features."

Eclipse features dual-engine architecture, configurable in series, parallel, stereo or dual mono. It offers easy setup and operation, with an enhanced user interface and a powerful search facility for rapid program/preset selection by category or application.

The audio performance of the Eventide Eclipse Harmonizer unit surpasses anything in its class, with 24-bit digital conversion, 96kHz sampling and a signal to noise ratio exceeding 104dB. Digital S/PDIF and AES/EBU I/O, analog balanced and unbalanced I/O and ADAT lightpipe are all supported.

Eclipse's heavy-gauge, all metal faceplate, solid, positive-action controls and sharp, bright display back up Eventide's "fully professional" claim for the product. Eventide's famous "knob" and full numeric keypad are included in the new unit, as well as customizable "hot keys" for maximum flexibility and ease of operation.

"So many musicians and other working professionals have been asking for years for a compact Eventide Harmonizer Effects Processor.", concludes Gerry Griffin. "Eclipse looks different from other Eventide boxes, but the first time a user listens to the Eventide-quality pitch change, reverb and special effects programs we've packed into the box, it will be obvious that Eclipse is the new world standard single rack effects processor."
