January 18, 2001Fenders Strings, Parts & Accessories division is
proud to announce a newly formed relationship with the worlds most
revered instrument cable company, Carver Professional. The two
companies have joined forces to create the all-new line of Fender
Pro-Tone Instrument Cables, which will be introduced at this years NAMM
show in Anaheim.
Made in the United States by Carver and licensed exclusively to Fender,
the new Pro-Tone Instrument Cables represent a giant step for Fenders
SPA division. Says Jeff Moore of Fender, Weve been working very hard
over the past few years towards offering retailers a line of products
that satisfies every one of their needs. The new Pro-Tone Instrument
Cables are the best quality cables money can buy, and theyll put us at
the forefront of the industry.
Features of the new Pro Tone Instrument Cables include solid machined
brass plugs with solid copper tips, which are then gold plated for
maximum conductivity and longevity. Each heat shrinked end is then
surrounded by a heavy-duty connector barrel for added durability.
Additionally, the two interior 18 AWG copper conductor wires are cast,
creating an oxygen free wire that eliminates the noise and distortion
often caused by the conductor. With the symmetrical conductor
configuration, the two wires are symmetrically twisted for balanced
positive/negative signal flow. This allows for more harmonic, increased
signal output and superb dynamic range adding incredible dimensions to a
sonic pallete.
By using a combination outer copper braid shield with a Mylar foil inner
shield, the Pro-Tone Instrument Cables achieve 100% RF protection. The
third outer shield is terminated at the designated instrument end of the
cable to direct RFI and noise protection. This method of shielding
allows the shield to work specifically as a shield, without effecting
the frequency response of the audio signal, and is the reason why there
is an "Instrument" and "Amplifier" end on each cable.
Adds Moore, You spend over $1,000 on a guitar and $1,200 on an
amplifier searching for the perfect tone. Either in the studio or on
the stage, you wont find it without the proper cables. Pro-Tones
Instrument Cables are what you are looking for.
