Roland Announces SR-JV80-19 House Collection Expansion Board
 January 20, 2001 Roland is proud to announce its nineteenth expansion board for expandable Roland synthesizers, the SR-JV80-19 House Collection. This new expansion board was developed in collaboration with Ueberschall and includes 16MB* of loops, phrases and sounds, many of which were created by legendary house music producer Mousse T.
Like all SR-JV80-Series cards, the SR-JV80-19 House Collection can be user-installed into any expandable XV/XP/JV synthesizer using the included screwdriver. Once in place, this 16MB* card adds 255 new waveforms based on Ueberschall’s acclaimed "HOUSEWORX!" and "jam box" CD-ROMs. These waveforms include drum and percussion loops, piano and guitar phrases—plus raw samples like piano, bass, brass and string sounds, and a collection of hits and vocal phrases.
Many of these sounds were created by one of the industry's leading house music producers Mousse T., making the House Collection’s 256 patches and eight drum kits true to the genre. Patches also include key split settings of loops and keyboard sounds for easy creation of house tracks in "construction kit" format.
