Steinberg Updates GRM-Tools, Magneto and D-Pole
1.5 January 22, 2001Steinberg Media Technologies AG announced update for three of the most popular
and powerhouse VST effects PlugIns.
The Extreme PlugIn collection from INA GRM-Tools 1.2 gets even more flexible.
All time-relevant parameters are now sync-able to tempo in any VST 2.0 compatible
host software. So complex parameter movements from one preset to another can now
be adjusted in musical units like bars and beats! The improved installer makes
it even easier to find the right VST directory. In addition Windows 2000 and NT
are now supported.
Steinberg/Spectral Design Magneto version 1.5 now boasts a new sophisticated
interface. The channel mode is now chosen automatically dependent upon whether
mono or stereo input is detected. 96 kHz is now supported and the algorithm even
performs with a better sound quality on critical material. The Mac installer is
improved and now automatically finds all VST directories.
Waldorf D-Pole 1.5 now makes full use of the new powerful VST 2.0 interface
- Delay time and LFO speed can be synced automatically to the tempo of the dedicated
host software and the values can be set in bars and beats. All parameters can
be adjusted via standard MIDI Controllers. Users of a Waldorf MicroWAVE XT synthesizer
can control all parameters instantly from the front panel. A 1.5 printed Addendum
informs about all changes.
All versions take advantage of the new customer friendly CD-Rom copy protection
on both Mac and PC platform. It removes the need to reinsert of the original CD
after a certain time (PC) and makes Challenge/Response codes or Disks (Mac) obsolete.
Due to the new protection, the updates will not be available on the internet for
download, but must be ordered by the registered user.
All three upgrades are available for FREE from Steinberg North America. For more information, visit their web site at www.steinberg.net. |
