TC Electronic has rolled out G-Major - a new single space rack mount guitar multi-effects processor with optional MIDI foot controller, featuring high quality traditional guitar effects such as reverbs, delay and pitch. G-Major can run up to seven different effects and a tuner simultaneously with real-time control over a number of its internal parameters through MIDI or the pedal input. "TC Electronic has a rich history of producing some of the most sought after guitar processors in the world," commented Mads Peter Lbeck, VP of Sales and Marketing. "With classic products such as the Stereo Chorus Flange pedal, up through the sophisticated and powerful G-Force, the G-Major represents the culmination of classic high quality processing in a whole new generation of guitar processor."

The G-Major features essential effects, such as Reverb, Delay, Compression, Filter/Mod. pitch, Chorus/Flanger, Tap Delay and Gate, with several sub algorithms available within each individual effect block for a variety of effects-only processing through a fast, easy to read intuitive user-interface. Preset change is fast and smooth even during live performance, and supports true spillover of delays. G-Major also offers a built-in switching relay that allows analog pre-amps or other equipment to be controlled through the preset change of the G-Major.

Three different effects routings are provided within the G-Major - Serial, Semi-Parallel and Parallel. The Serial routing connects all seven effects blocks in straight line, connecting one effect to the next equal to a regular guitar stomp box setup, while Semi-Parallel still connects the first five effects blocks in a serial manner, and the Reverb and Delay block connect in parallel. The Parallel routing allows serial based effects like the Noise Gate, Compressor and Tremolo to be connected in serial, and additionally connects the Pitch, Chorus, Delay and Reverb in a parallel setup. Each of the algorithms inside the block routings provide for parameters to be controlled in real-time with one of four modifiers. The modifiers may be externally controlled via standard Expression pedals and volume pedals or in real-time via MIDI.

The G-Major hardware compliment consists of full resolution 24 bit A/D and D/A converters with 24 bit internal processing. *" analog I/O connectors are provided for fast and simple connectivity, additionally a S/PDIF digital I/O is included for a pure all digital, 24 bit signal path supporting both 44.1K and 48K rates.

Retail price for the G-Major is US$ 699,- , UK 459,- (inc. VAT), DEM 1290,- (inc. VAT).
