January 22, 2001Maple is one of the best-sounding and most visually exciting woods, so it's
no wonder that Taylor's 600 Series of maple acoustic/electric guitars have proven
to be so popular with contemporary stage performers. The 600s are available in
several transparent color finishes that allow highly-figured, premium-grade maple
to shine through glorious stains of amber, red, blue, green, or black.
This year, Taylor is adding three new "sunburst" finish options
to the 600 Series - Cherry Sunburst, Tobacco Sunburst, and Honey Sunburst. The
new 600 models also boast a wider, single-ring abalone rosette, with more eye-popping
purfling around it, which dramatizes the classic "sunburst" effect.
The "sunburst" finishes are also available as an option on 900 and Presentation
