To further strengthen its position in the powered mixer market, Yamaha Corporation of America, Professional Audio, introduces the compact and lightweight EMX3000. Providing flexible audio mixing, a high-powered built-in 300-watt stereo amp, and on-board digital effects processing, the EMX3000 is ideal for small venues, theaters, houses of worship, board rooms, media presentations and any smaller, budget-conscious sound reinforcement system requiring high performance. The unit will be available in April 2001.

"Yamaha has enjoyed success with its EMX2000 powered mixer and determined that there was a need for more power to meet the demands of today's systems," states John Schauer, product manager, Professional Audio. "The EMX3000 offers that power at an attractive price, without compromising inputs, performance, portability or flexibility."

The EMX3000 features eight mono channels and two stereo, 3-band EQ, two monitor sends, one effect send, one mono and two stereo outputs. On-board digital effects provide 16 programs, including Yamaha's acclaimed reverb technology. The effects send feeds the internal effects processor and can also be used for external devices (which then return signals back to one of the two stereo sub inputs). A flexible seven-band graphic EQ on the stereo output provides feedback control and signal shaping.

The built-in lightweight amplifier provides 300 watts of stereo power. By utilizing Yamaha's EEEngine technology, the unit offers high power output, cool operation and low current draw.

All input channels feature balanced XLR-type mic inputs, line-level phone jack input, inserts on channels 1-4, peak level indicators and variable gain control. A carrying handle provides easy plug-in-and-go system setups.
