Yorkville Adds New Multi-Pattern Tube Mic to Apex Line

January 25, 2001

Yorkville Sound is further expanding their Apex microphone line by adding a new multi-pattern tube mic to the catalog.

The already popular and best selling Apex420 and Apex430 large diaphragm studio condensers have already been redefining the price / performance barrier. The new Apex450 Tube Condenser Microphone continues this trend by raising the bar on performance while continuing to lower the price barrier for studio quality microphones.

The Apex450 Tube Microphone is an aggressively priced, yet still a superior sounding large diaphragm studio condenser capable of competing easily with much more expensive microphones in this class.

One unique feature of this microphone is the nine different selectable polar patterns easily available from the selector switch on the front panel of the external power supply. This allows the engineer to choose from patterns ranging from full omni, cardioid, or figure eight; or any step in between as required during the recording process.
The Apex450 comes with an aluminum flight case, acoustically transparent windsock, seven-pin XLR cable and external power supply. This microphone also comes equipped with an extra heavy-duty studio shockmount assembly.

The Apex450 has a U.S. list price of $899.00 ($1099.00 CDN).
