Ibanez touts its AE acoustic electric guitars as being one of the top selling live performance guitars in the world. "Now were looking to make it the most comprehensive," commented Charlie Hayashi of the Ibanez Acoustic Guitar division. "Weve got three new firsts in the AE line. The first AE 12-string, the first AE with a solid top, and our first five-string AE acoustic-electric bass." "Plus all the models now feature the Fishman Sonicore pickup and our new Ibanez Shape Shifter EQ which lets anyone dial in the right tone instantly. With the Shape Shifters tone shaping technology, theres no more futzing around on stage. A couple seconds and youve got the tone you want." Along with the Fishman Sonicore pickup and Ibanez Shape Shifter EQ, Ibanez AE guitars feature slender necks, die-cast tuners, narrow feedback resistant bodies and Ivorex saddles. The AE1812NT 12-string acoustic-electric lists for $699.99. The AEF28SNT solid top, which lists for $699.99, also has a true balanced XLR output jack. The AEB305 5-string features a 32" scale neck and lists for $699.99.
