Ovation Unveils 2001 Collectors' Edition

Ovation Instruments recently announced it’s most recent addition to the long running Collectors’ Edition series of limited production instruments. The 2001 Collectors’ is the 20th in an annual series that began in 1982.

This year Ovation has procured a supply of rare figured Redwood for the soundboards. These solid tops are coated with clear finish to show the natural beauty of the wood grain and have a tonality that resembles cedar top guitars.

Other features include a mid-depth cutaway body, multi-sound hole porting, OP24 Plus C pre amp with chromatic tuner, and a Kaman Bar reinforced five piece neck.

The 2001 will be available at all Ovation authorized dealers beginning in January 2001.

Retail price of this guitar, Ovation model 2001-FR, is $1,799.00. Suggested case is model 9158-0.
