George Lynch and Peavey Create the Triple XXX

January 20, 2001

Triple XXX Guitar Amplifier
(Click for a close-up)

When George Lynch heard the Ultra™ Plus head, he was blown away. With a few minor changes, and George's expert tonal advice, the Triple XXX was born. This amp's powerful tone and amazing new look couldn't be kept locked up. Instead of creating the Triple XXX only for George, we decided to share his tone with everyone.

Rated at 120 Watts into 16, 8 or 4 Ohms (switchable), the Triple XXX provides three footswitchable channels. The clean channel delivers volume, bass, mid and treble; while the crunch and ultra channel feature bottom, body and hair (low, mid and hi) EQ; a gain control and volume control.

The prominent face panel on the Triple XXX has a dampening channel that delivers some unique options - tight, medium and loose. The amp is furnished with a master volume switch and line out with level control, and is switchable to use either EL34s or 6L6GCs.

Providing a footswitchable effects loop with send and return controls, this amp will rock your next performance.
