Alesis has announced the anticipated upgrades to the popular QS6 and QS8 synthesizer models. In addition to a completely redesigned look, the QS6.2 and QS8.2 offer improved audio performance, and are now even better values than their predecessors at a new, lower price.

The most obvious upgrade to both the QS6.2 and QS8.2 is the sleek, "industrial" silver design exterior, making these synths true class acts in both performance and style. This updated, eye-catching look perfectly complements the QS series' blend of power, durability and value. In addition, both models have been updated with the new Alesis 24-bit digital-to-analog converters for enhanced sound quality.

The conveniently light-weight, compact QS6.2 still remains a powerhouse synth that is equally great for MIDI composing or on-stage performance. The QS6.2's true 64-voice polyphony lets the musician work with complex sequences to create rich, stacked chords and layers. Using its QS Mix Mode, programs are flexibly arranged into 16-zone keyboard splits, thickly stacked sonic layers or even assigned programs in any combination to the 16 MIDI channels.

As a professional performance and composition tool, the QS8.2 model features a huge library of excellent sounds, synthesis features and great controller tools combine with the best-feeling, fully weighted 88-key keyboard available today. Now, with its new industrial silver look and new lower price, QS8.2 continues as the premiere keyboard for professional performing musicians.
