Behringer Introduces the Vintager AC112 Guitar Combo

BEHRINGER introduced the all-new VINTAGER AC112 guitar combo (price tba) at the Winter NAMM show. Designed in collaboration with professional artists and vintage amp connoisseurs, the AC112 combines authentic vintage design with Behringer's patent-pending ULTRATUBE circuitry for classic tube amp sound and modern reliability, and offers an onboard 24-bit stereo multi-effects processor. The AC112 sports greater functionality than most other conventional 2-channel amps, along with a vast sound repertoire that is deeply rooted in the fine vintage tradition.
The AC112 is based on a powerful 60-Watt RMS amp with a premium choice 12AX7 vacuum tube in its preamp section. A genuine Jensen 70-Watt heavy-duty 12" JCH12/70 speaker provides plenty of headroom and smooth breakup when driven hard. State-of-the-art analog technology ensures tube-like musicality and feel. Owing to its 12AX7 tube, the clean channel delivers vintage clean to slightly overdriven tube sounds with smooth tube compression, while the overdrive channel dishes up delicate crunch and well-defined saturated sounds when needed. Although the AC112 is a mono amp, guitarists will appreciate its stereo capabilities, like the frequency-corrected stereo line output and stereo multi-effects unit in combination with external equipment.
A wide variety of musical effects such as chorus, compressor, delay, phaser, pitch shifter, reverb, rotary speaker, wah, cabinet emulator plus various effect combinations add to the attractive package. Three FX parameters can be edited per preset with dedicated controls for intuitive operation. The MIDI interface allows remote channel and preset selection plus real-time parameter control. In addition, a parallel effects loop is available for connection of external stomp boxes or other signal processors, while a great-sounding frequency-corrected stereo headphones output enables silent practicing.
The AC112 is built to withstand years of abuse and comes equipped with a dual channel select/FX bypass footswitch.
