BEHRINGER announced the birth of three additions to its EUROLIVE family of sound reinforcement enclosures, including the B1500X and B1800X subwoofers and the B1020 full-range system, making the EUROLIVE Series an unusually comprehensive line of professional-grade PA enclosures suited for a variety of applications.
The new B1500X features a custom-made 15" woofer with a RMS power rating of 300 Watts and harmonizes perfectly with the new full-range B1020. The B1800X sports a heavy-duty 18" woofer with 400 Watts RMS and delivers good results in combination with the B1220 or B1520 full-range enclosures. Both new subwoofer models feature an integrated passive crossover, which allows compact stacks to be set up without the need for additional amplifiers or external crossovers and can be deactivated for active use, as well as a pole socket for standard spacer rods.
Rounding out the full-range line in the EUROLIVE Series, the new B1020 features a specially developed 10" woofer and a 1" titanium HF driver with a constant directivity horn and sports the same convincing professional features and build quality as the existing full-range models B1220 and B1520.
Two-way in configuration, the base model B1220 cabinet houses a proprietary 12-inch woofer and horn-loaded, constant directivity high-frequency section outfitted with a one-inch titanium HF driver. Like its larger brethren, the horn-loaded, two-way B1520, the B1220 is trapezoidal in design to facilitate its use in clustered arrays and is operable in either bi-amped or passive modes. In addition, a pair of floor wedges (models F1220 and F1520) is also found within the line. Utilizing the same internal components as the B1220 and B1520, both wedges can also be operated in passive or bi-amping mode and allow angles of 30 or 60 degrees.
Ruggedly crafted to endure the punishments of everyday road use, the entire EUROLIVE Series is built using high-grade, formaldehyde-free E1 MDF boards assembled using multi-glued tongue-and-groove construction techniques. Recessed handles are offered on all models, as are professional-grade Speakon input and output connectors, robust corner protectors and durable black-carpeted exteriors. Steel grilles plus acoustically transparent polyester foam grilles cover all faceplates for optimal speaker protection. All B models additionally feature die-cast pole sockets for spacer rod or stand mounting.
Suggested retail prices start at $245 USD for the model B1020 and rise as high as $359 USD for the model B1800X.
